Neighboring HVDC Projects
The Northeast Energy Link is proposed to run 230 miles underground between Orrington ME and Tewksbury MA utilizing existing transportation corridors in eastern Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
The Champlain Hudson Power Express project will bring up to 1,000 MW of clean wind and hydro power to the New York metro area. Submerged and buried cable avoids the visual impacts of overhead transmission projects.
